Welcome
This web site is dedicated to keeping Mk1 Cortinas on the road. You will find helpful information to assist you and your Mk1 Cortina project, whether it be to restore or modify. We have replacement parts, seals and mechanical improvements you can also make to your own Ford Cortina. There is an area for owners to contribute their own information on the power levels and elapsed times they have managed to achieve from their Cortina. Please take your time and look over the site. To find other sections just look in the above menus.

The Story
The Ford Cortina is more than just a tale about a best selling motor car. It's a story of a 'classic' still raced today in 'Group N' touring cars, historic rallies, hill climbs and a very popular choice for drag racers. Everyone knows of someone who's had one or has owned one themselves at one time in their life. The Cortina was the best selling car of its class in the early sixties selling over 1 million cars. There was a model for everybody starting with the basic 220, right through to the GT and exotic Lotus. If you're wondering where the Cortina name came from? It got Its name from a village called 'Cortina d' Ampezzo in Italy after the 1956 Italian Winter Olympics.
